Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na tématiku staroegyptských etických kodexů. V úvodní části poskytuje čtenáři historické souvislosti ve formě popisu vývoje státu a práva ve starověkém Egyptě a nabízí také pohled na rozložení populace do společenských vrstev včetně postavení úředníků ve společnosti. Hlavní část práce se pak soustřeďuje na etické zásady úředníků dochované ve formě naučení(sbajet). Je zde zkoumán jejich původ, vývoj a obsah, velký prostor je věnován rozboru textu nejvýznamnějších nauk v kontextu principů dobré správy. Práce se týká i otázky akutálnosti staroegyptských naučení prostřednictvím komparace staroegyptských etických principů a zásad dnešních úředníků ve veřejné správě a právnických profesí.The diploma thesis is concentrated on the codes of ethics in ancient Egypt. The opening part gives the reader historical context by description of evolution of the egyptian state and its system of law. It also offers a view on the distribution of population into the social classes including the position of clerks in the society. Main part of the thesis is focused on the ethical principals of clerks preserved in the form of teachings (sebayt), their origin, evolution and contain is examined. There is a lot of space for analysis of the most important teachings in the context of good administration principles in the text. The thesis also concerns a question of currency of the teachings comparing egyptian ethical principals with principals of clerks in the public administration and law professions nowadays.
