Nejvyšší početnost vajíček byla v hloubce 2-4 cm.The work focuses on observation of the growth rate of mosquito larvae, of the genus Ochlerotatus, with dependence on fluctuation of water level in pool and temperature. The survey was conducted at 2 locations in the Protected Landscape Area Litovelské Pomoraví ? in a periodic vernal pool and a forest fluiding in years 2010-2013. The objectives were: to determine the time needed for larvae development, whether there is a difference of growth velocities between the vernal periodic pool and forest fluiding, and whether the growth velocities vary in individual years. The secondary objectives were to identify the species of mosquitoes is found in PLA and the distribution of mosquitoes eggs in the periodic vernal pool. In total there was found seven species of mosquitoes: six of the genus Ochlerotatus and one of the genus Aedes. The periodic vernal pool is predominately Ochlerotatus communis, while forest fluiding is predominately Ochlerotatus cantans. Altough the larvae development varied in individual year (5-8 weeks), fourth instars were achieved in all years in similar time (20. 4.). The results show that the difference between in the two locations and the difference between all of years was statistically signifiant ? with the exceptation of the year 2012 when difference between the periodic vernal pool and forest fluiding was not proven. Dependence between tepmerature of the water and relative growth velocity was not proven. The eggs were most numerous on the left shore while the least amount of eggs were found in the center of the pool. Most of eggs were in depth of 2-4 cm.
