Diplomová práce zpřístupňuje vybraná témata z kázání Jana Valeriána Jirsíka, která jsme porovnali s příslušnými kapitolami z jeho Populární dogmatiky. Z oblasti christologie představuje autorovo učení o vtělení, utrpení a druhém příchodu Božího Syna a používání christologických titulů. Zabývá se tím, jak autor vnímal tajemství Kristovy vykupitelské oběti a eucharistie. V pneumatologii ukazuje Jirsíkovo učení o Duchu svatém a jeho působení ve svátostech. Z Jirsíkovy mariologie přibližuje Mariino neposkvrněné početí a panenství, její Boží mateřství, bolesti, nanebevzetí a přímluvu u Boha. V eklesiologie se hovoří o poslání laiků v církvi. V angelologii se představuje existence, hierarchie a působení andělů v lidském životě.The diploma thesis opens up chosen topics from homilies of Jan Valerián Jirsík, which were compared with corresponending chapters of his Popular Dogmatics. From the area of christology, the author's doctrine of incarnation, passion and second advent of the Son of God and the using of christological titles are presented. It focuses as well how the author preceived the mystery of redeeming sacrifice of Christ and the one of Eucharist. Concerning the pneumatology, the doctrine of Jirsík on Holy Spirit and his operation in the sacraments is shown. From Jirsík's mariology, the immaculate conception of Mary, her virginity, divine motherhood, pains, assumption, and intercession at God are presented. About ecclesiology, the mission of laity in the Church is concerned. In angelology, the existence, hierarchy, and operation of the angles in the human life is presented.
