Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zaměřuje na představení nového fenoménu v brazilské literatuře, konkrétně na literární produkci z periferií se zaměřením na autory pocházející z favel Rio de Janeira. V první části práce je nastíněn historický vznik a vývoj těchto chudinských čtvrtí včetně současné situace. V druhé části práce je chronologicky představen vývoj brazilské periferní literatury, od prvních zmínek o favelách a marginalizovaných prostředích v období romantismu až po devadesátá léta minulého století, kdy se tato prostředí začala rozvíjet do dnešní podoby. V dalším kroku je tato periferní literatura definována, charakterizována a srovnána s literárním kánonem. Mimo to jsou zde představeni nejdůležitější současní brazilští autoři z periferií, se zaměřením na marginalizovanou produkci ve městě Rio de Janeiro. V hlavní části práce jsou poté představena a analyzována tři stěžejní díla tří riodejaneirských spisovatelů, pocházejících z odlišných periferií. Na závěr jsou tato díla porovnána a jsou shrnuty jejich společné znaky.This master's thesis aims to introduce a new phenomenon in Brazilian literature, in particular, the literary production from the urban peripheries, with a focus on authors originating from the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. The first part of the thesis outlines the historical origins and evolution of these slums, including the current situation. In the second part of the thesis, the development of Brazilian peripheral literature is presented in a chronological order, beginning with the first mentions of favelas and marginalised environments during the romanticist period and ending in the 1990s, when these environments began to develop into their present form. In the next step, this peripheral literature is defined, characterised and compared with the literary canon. In addition, the most important contemporary Brazilian authors from the peripheries are presented, with a focus on marginalised production in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The main part of the thesis then presents and analyses three key works by three writers from different peripheries of Rio de Janeiro. Finally, these works are compared and their common features are summarised.
