Tématem této diplomové práce je pozice náboženství vzhledem k politickému vývoji v Nizozemsku a v České republice. Zvláštní pozornost je přitom věnována křesťanství. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá náboženstvím obecně, jsou zde vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se náboženství a vztah náboženství a politiky jako takový. Druhá kapitola nahlíží do historie vývoje křesťanství v obou porovnávaných zemích. Jsou zde zachyceny nejdůležitější mezníky v dějinách křesťanství z hlediska politického vývoje. Třetí kapitola se zaměřuje na postavení náboženství v současnosti, popisuje důvody klesající religiozity a krátce charakterizuje křesťanské politické strany, které figurují na nynější politické scéně jak v Nizozemsku, tak v České republice. Poslední kapitola porovnává a analyzuje dosavadní vývoj náboženství v obou zemích. Cílem této práce je poskytnout čtenáři ucelený přehled o náboženské situaci v Nizozemsku a České republice, přičemž důraz je kladen především na srovnání vztahu náboženství a politiky.This thesis concentrates on the comparison of the religions position in relation to the political development in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. Special attention is given to Christianity. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with the religion in general. It determinates basic concepts related to the religion and relationship between religion and politics as such. The second chapter explores the historical development of Christianity in both countries. There are captured the most important milestones in the history of Christianity in terms of political development. The third chapter focuses on the role of the religion nowadays. It describes the reasons for the declining religiosity and briefly characterizes the Christian political parties, which belong to the current political scene in the Netherlands and the Czech Republic. The last chapter compares and analyzes the present development of religion in both countries.The aim of this thesis is to give readers a comprehensive overview of the religious situation in both countries with emphasis to compare the relationship of religion and politics.
