Tato práce seznamuje s teoretickými poznatky z oblasti citové vazby a způsobů výchovy, informuje o podstatných aspektech sociální služby v azylových domech. This work introduces theoretical knowledge about attachment and ways of upbringing, it informs us about fundamental aspects of welfare services in residences for mothers and children in difficulties. The aim of the research was to find out what types of attachment and upbringing were used with the women from these residences in their childhood. It interested us what types now they use with their children. The research held 44 respondents from 4 residences for mothers and children in difficulties in Pardubice region. The research was realised by Questionnaire to find out the educational style in the family, PBI and ECR Questionnaires. Then half-structured interviews with the respondents and residence workers were done, completed by observation. The women most often stated doubtful attachment and in that case also a type of an unkind control (disorganized type of attachment). The type of upbringing the women experienced in their primary families was defined by negative emotional relation and contradictory control. The research confirms that the women often repeat the models of upbringing from their primary families. Substantial differences between upbringing assessment by the respondent herself and a residence worker were not proven.
