Tato diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou cyklistické dopravy ve městě Ostrava, která je založena jak na analýze koncepčních dokumentů, tak i na terénním a dotazníkovém šetření. Velký důraz je kladen na popis a hodnocení kvality cyklistické infrastruktury ve městě. Kromě cyklistické dopravy v Ostravě pojednává předkládaná práce o pozitivních vlivech cyklistiky na udržitelný rozvoj měst, dále o cyklistické dopravě v zemích západní Evropy, v České republice a rozebírá i některá významná cyklistická města, v nichž by mohla Ostrava nalézt inspiraci. Celou práci doplňují tabulky, grafy, mapy a fotografie.This thesis analyzes bicycle transportation in the City of Ostrava, which is based both on the analysis of policy documents, as well as on the field and questionnaire survey. A great emphasis is placed on the description and evaluation of the quality of cycling infrastructure in the city. In addition to bicycle transportation in Ostrava the work also discusses the positive impact of cycling on sustainable urban development, then about bicycle transportation in Western Europe, in the Czech Republic and discusses some significant cycling cities, which could inspire Ostrava. The thesis is complemented with tables, charts, maps and photographs.
