Práce obsahuje popis a specifika deformit páteře v dospělosti, jejich etiologii, způsoby vyšetření a možnosti léčby konzervativní i operační. Zabývá se možnostmi speciálních rehabilitačních postupů a metodik určených k terapii skolióz v dospělosti. Součástí práce je kasuistika dospělé pacientky s těžkou kongenitální progredující skoliózou.The thesis consists of a description and particulars of adult spinal deformities, their etiology, examination methods and potential treatment, both conservative and surgical. It deals with possibilities of special physiotherapeutic procedures and methods intended for therapy of adult scoliosis. Casuistry of an adult patient with severe congenital progressive scoliosis forms part of the thesis.
