Disertační práce se věnuje aktuálnímu tématu, kteryý je pracovní spokojenost a rovněž i jejím vzajemným vztahům s vybranými osobnostními charakteristikami, motivací k výkonu a strategiemi zvládání zátěže. Výzkumné téma je uvedeno do kontextu učitelské profese, která je speeifikována z hlediska jejcíh vykonavatelů - učitelů, jejich osobnosti a také problematických aspektů uvedené profese. V teoretické části je postupováno od obecného popisu vymezených jevů k jejich aplikaci do sféry učitelství. Přínosem je syntéza psychologických a pedagogických poznatků. Základní cíl práce charakterizuje snaha přispět k rozšíření poznáni osobnosti učitele v oblasti vybraných aspektů jeho pedagogické činnosti. Výzkumná část pak kvantitativními i kvalitativními metodami zkoumá úroveň subjektivně prožívané pracovní spokojenosti i její vztahy se stanovenými determinantami. Implementaci získaných poznatků do praxe lze využít k detailnější deskripci učitelské profese z hlediska jejich unikátních podmínek, adekvatnímu využití edukačního potenciálu učitelů a konečně i ke zlepšení celého vzdělávacího systému.This disertation project is focused on an up-to-date subject of a job satisfaction and its connections with selected personal characteristics, the effort motivation and the coping strategies. The research subject is seen in a context of a profession of a teacher, which is specified in a teacher's point of the view, their personalities and the problematic aspects of their profession. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the beginning on a general characteristics of the determinated pfenomens which later are applied on a teaching profession. The benefit of this thesis is a synthesis of a psychological and a pedagogical knowledge. The main goal of this project is to extend the knowledge of a teacher personality in an area of the chosen pedagogical activity determinants. A research part of the thesis investigates by both quantitative as well as qualitative methods the level of a subjectively experienced job unsatisfaction and its connections with the specified determinants. An implementation of gained knowledge in a practice can be used as a detailed description of the teacher profession with the view of its unique conditions, adequate use of an educational teacher's potential and at last the improvement of the whole educational system.
