V této magisterské diplomové práci jsme se zabývali tématem židovství v poválečné české próze. Jako materiál pro komparaci nám posloužily dvě novely ? Bez krásy, bez límce Hany Bělohradské a Ve městě jsou bratři Steinové Věry Kalábové. V úvodních kapitolách jsme zmínili několik shodných rysů poválečné literatury, stručně shrnuli historii židů na našem území a představili spisovatelky Hanu Bělohradskou a Věru Kalábovou. Dále jsme texty novel analyzovali a srovnávali z hlediska literárně teoretických kategorií prostoru, času a literárních postav. Zaměřili jsem se také na jazyk a styl těchto próz, uvedli základní body syžetové výstavby a sledovali stěžejní motivy. Cílem této magisterské práce bylo představit a připomenout tyto české autorky, porovnat jejich tematicky shodné prózy a nalézt společné znaky struktury obou textů. Zároveň jsme zaznamenali důležité diference ve ztvárnění téhož tématu.This Master thesis will consider the theme of Judaism in Czech post-World War II literature. We will use two novels as the comparative material of the study: Bez krasy, Bez Limce, written by Hana Belohradska and Ve meste jaou bratri Stenove, written by Vera Kalabova. The purpose of this Master thesis is to present and examine the work of these two Czech authoresses, to compare their works thematically, to note common characteristics in both texts, and to explore significant differences in interpretation as they work with the same topic. In the preliminary chapter, we will outline Post-war literature generally to place the author's works in a proper context. We will then outline important aspects of the history of Judaism in the Czech Republic and introduce the two authors: Hana Belchradska and Vera Kalabova. We will then analyze the two author's works relative to their literary theoretical category area, their time period, and their development of characters. A discussion of the language and style of these prose works will follow along with an examination of basic points of syntax, composition, and fundamental literary motives. In conclusion, this Master of Arts thesis will compare and contrast these two works by Hana Belohradska and Vera Kalabova in the context of post- World War II Czech literature and the Jewish experience.
