Předkládaná práce je založena na dvou cílech. Za prvé popisuje geografii času z hlediska teoretického. Zde se zaměřuje na vznik a vývoj této disciplíny. Jsou zde uvedeny a vysvětleny i jednotlivé základní pojmy geografie času. V teoretické části práce je popsán i pojem volný čas a volnočasové aktivity. V části praktické je cílem výzkum volnočasových aktivit jedinců na území města Olomouce. Šetření je založeno na zkoumání a hodnocení volnočasových aktivit z několika hledisek (výchozí stanice, způsob přepravy, doba vykonávané aktivity aj.). Jednotlivé charakteristiky jsou zkoumány i z hlediska věkové struktury a pohlaví. Výsledky jsou předkládány nejen písemnou formou, ale také formou grafů, tabulek a map.The thesis is based on two aims. The first one describes time geography from the theoretical point of view. The thesis in this part is focused on the origin of this discipline. The basic terminology of time geography is introduced and explained. The term of leisure time activities is described in the theoretical part as well. However in the practical part, the aim is a leisure time activities research of individual people in the district of Olomouc. The research is based on an examination and an evaluation of several perspectives such as base station, means of transport, time activity etc. Particular characteristics are also examined from the point of age and sex. Results are presented not only in a textual form but also in a form of diagrams, tables, and maps.
