Práce se zabývá vztahem hudebních preferencí adolescentů a souvislostmi s různými aspekty jejich života. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na témata adolescence jako sociálně psychologický jev, na hudební preference jako produkt sociálních a psychologických faktorů a na specifické souvislosti hudebních preferencí adolescentů a různých fenomenů jejich vývojového období. Formálně vychází práce z přehledu dosavadních teoretických i empirických reflexí, a to jak zahraničních, tak tuzemských, a recipročně je srovnává. Empirická část obsahuje dvě původní studie. První z nich zkoumá strukturu hudebních preferencí adolescentů, souvislosti těchto preferencí s vlastnostmi hudby a funkčním potencáalem hudby. Vedle tohoto sleduje současné trendy v konzumaci hudby mezi adolescenty a srovnává je na základě některých faktorů, jako je pohlaví, věk či hudební aktivita. Druhá studie sleduje souvislosti hudební preference se sociálními atributy adolescentů, s jejich formami trávení volného času, módou, konzumací médií, hodnotovým systémem, sebehodnocením a vztahem k dalším fenoménum současné doby. Výsledky ukazují, že hudební preference a motivace k jejich volbě je mezi adolescenty vnitřně diferencovaná, a tato heterogenita souvisí významným způsobem s rozdílnými vlastnostmi sociální, kulturní a psychologické povahy jednotlivců. Limitace výzkumu jsou komentovány, Závěr práce shrnuje výsledky empirických zjištění ve vztahu k předchozím poznatkům a doporučuje strategii pro budoucí výzkumy zaměřené na téma vztahů adolescence a hudby.The thesis deals with musical taste in adolescence in context of various aspects of adolescents´ lives. Theoretical part focuses on adolescence as a socio-psychological phenomenon, musical preference as a product of social a psychological factor, and on specific intersections of musical taste i. adolescence and miscellaneous phenomena within this developmental period. The chapter is based on review of previous theoretical and empirical reflections of the subject, both abroad and homegrown, and these are mutually compared. Empirical part consists of two original surveys. The first one examines structure of musical preferences in adolescence, relevance of this structure to musical properties and to the functions of music. Furthermore, it explores current music consumption trends among adolescents, and explicates them by means of various factors, such as gender, age or musical activity. The second survey explore musical taste in context of social and demographic attributes of adolescents, their way of leisure, fashion, media consumption, their systems of values, self-esteem and attitudes to other phenomena of the present social space. The results indicate that musical preference and motivation to music listening is heterogeneous among youth, and the differences stem from unequal social, psychological and cultural attributes of adolescents. Limitations are discussed. The conclusion summarizes results of the empirical parts relatively to the previous findings. A recommended strategy for further research of music and adolescence closes the work.
