Český literární underground je ojedinělý fenomén nejen u nás, ale také ve světovém kontextu. Underground znamená podzemí, a tedy literaturu skrývající se. Jeho vznik je u nás spojen s totalitním režimem. Jak je to ale s undergroundem po roce 1989? Tohle slovo je stále aktivně užívané i v současné literatuře. Protože se ale změnil systém v němž žijeme, získává underground odlišnou roli. Z rozebrání aspektů undergroundu vyplývá, že jeho původní principy nejsou na dnešní společnost zcela aplikovatelné. Jeho postavení je diametrálně odlišné od předrevolučního charakteru undergroundu.The Czech literature underground is a unique phenomenon, not only in our country but also in the context of the whole world. Underground means "podzemí", and therefore it represents a hiding literature. Its origin is connected with totalitarian regime. But how it is with the underground after 1989? This word is still actively used, even on the field of contemporary literature. Though because of the change of the system in which we live, the underground is given a different status. The analysis of the specifics of the underground brings a knowledge that its original principals can not be applied on a current society. Its role is diametrically different from the character of the underground before revolution.
