Tato práce se zaměřuje na právní postavení žen v afroasijských kulturách, které jsou silně ovlivněny náboženstvím, konkrétně v islámu, judaismu, hinduismu, konfucianismu a v náboženství afrických přírodních kmenů. Cílem studie bylo podat souhrnný přehled základních tradičních norem, které určují pozici žen v dané společnosti, a zároveň vymezit hlavní principy každého z uvedených náboženství pro lepší porozumění jednotlivým genderovým aspektům. Práce vychází převážně z české literatury a z primárních pramenů definujících určité náboženství, jako je například Korán, Starý zákon nebo Manuův zákoník. Na základě těchto zdrojů je sledována role žen zejména v rámci rodiny a manželství, jejich účast na veřejném životě, a také podrobnější popis určitého institutu, jenž je pro konkrétní kulturu charakteristický. Tato práce tedy líčí postavení žen v tradičním společenském uspořádání, které je typické pro dané společenství.The topic of this thesis is the legal position of women in Afro-Asian cultures which are strongly influenced by religion, specifically in Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Confucianism and in the religions of African tribes. The aim of the study was to present a summarized overview of the main traditional standards that determine the position of women in the corresponding societies and to establish the main principles of each religion mentioned in the thesis in order to be able to better understand individual gender aspects. In the thesis I referred mainly to Czech literature and primary sources definining individual religions, such as Qu'ran, Old Testament and Law of Manu. Based on these sources I monitored the role of women especially in their family and marriage, the way they participate in public life and also a more detailed description of specific legal aspects which are characteristic for a particular culture. In short, the thesis describes the position of women in traditional systems that are typical for each society.
