Diplomová práce si klade za cíl proniknout hlouběji do vztahů rodičů k chlapcům s autismem a porozumět jim. Teoretická část se věnuje vymezení dětského autismu a vývoji názorů na jeho vznik od minulosti po současné poznatky. Zabývá se zvláštnostmi vývoje v jednotlivých obdobích života a vhodnou terapií. Další část popisuje vztah rodičů k dětem s postižením, konkrétně pak s autismem. Poznatky jsou doplněny o výzkumy provedené u nás a v zahraničí. Výzkumná část zkoumá vztah rodičů ke svým dětem s autismem. Hledá odpověď na to, jak se rodiče vyrovnávají s postižením dítěte a jaký dopad má postižení na rodičovství. K dosažení cíle byl použit kvalitativní výzkumný design. Data byla získána pomocí polostrukturovaného rozhovoru a testu rodinného systému - FAST. Výzkumný soubor tvořilo dvanáct párů rodičů. Výsledkem práce je podrobný popis vztahu rodičů ke svým dětem s autismem.The aim of this diploma thesis is to examine in depth the relationship of parents to their autistic sons, as well as to try and understand these relationships. The theoretical part focuses on the specification of autism in children and the development of opinions on its origin throughout history and the newest knowledge of it. It is concerned with the special features of autism in respective life periods and the appropriate therapy to cure them. The next part describes the relationship of parents to their handicapped children, particularly children with autism. There is an addition covering research done in the Czech Republic and abroad. The research part focuses on the relationship of parents to their autistic children. It seeks the answer to the question of how parents cope with their child's handicap and what its impact on parenthood is. The data was acquired with the help of a semi-structured interview and a Family system test - FAST. The sample consisted of twelve couples of parents. The result of the thesis is a detailed description of the relationship of parents to their autistic children.
