Růstové regulátory jsou hojně využívány v zemědělství a zahradnictví. Je celá řada látek používaných při defoliaci bavlníku. Na urychlení sklizně bavlny se využívá látka cytokininové povahy thidiazuron, která indukuje produkci etylenu, což má za následek abscisi. Na základě testů na produkci etylenu byly testovány látky přímou aplikací na rostliny bavlníku (G.herbaceum) ve čtyřech různých koncentracích. Testované látky (TDZ, BAP, LGR-2210, LGR-1042, LGR-951 a LGR-950) pocházejí z Laboratoře růstových regulátorů.The growth regulators are frequently used in agriculture and gardencraft. There exists a wide range of substances used for cotton defoliation. Thidiazuron is cytokinin-like substance which is used for faster harvest of cotton plants. The effect of thidiazuron in cotton plant is increasing of ethylen induction which eventually leads to an abscision. Based on ethylen production tests substances were tested by direct application on cotton plants (G.herbaceum) in four different concentrations. Tested substances (TDZ, BAP, LGR-2210, LGR-1042, LGR-951 a LGR-950) were taken from Growth Regulatros Lab.
