Práce se věnuje činnosti jedné z komisí, zřízených ústředním výborem KSČ za účelem prošetření politických procesů. "Barnabitská" komise se konkrétně věnovala případu tzv. buržoazních nacionalistů. Pro pomoc komisi bylo zřízeno několik skupin, složených z odborníků, kteří dali její výsledné zprávě podobu komplexní historické analýzy. Tím zasáhly výsledky komise nejen do politického života, ale i do vývoje historiografie, zejména období moderních dějin.The thesis is focused on the work and results of the specialized committee (called ?the Barnabit committee?), which was found by the central committee of the Czechoslovak Communist Party. Its aim was to judge if the accusation of the so called burgeois nationalism against several members of the Slovak Communist Party were right.The materials of the committee are valuable as for the information about the Communist Party (Parties) in Czechoslovakia in general and also as for the particular people, whose opinions and personalities can be seen through their speeches on the commitee?s meetings.
