Práce shrnuje poznatky o postižení intervertebrálního disku. Popisuje anatomii a funkci páteře, dále důležité informace o dané diagnóze. V terapii se popisuje zejména operační léčba, která je zaměřena na nejnovější poznatky z této oblasti. Speciální část práce obsahuje rehabilitaci po operaci hernie disku, porovnává postupy u nás a v zahraničí. Poslední část práce představuje kasuistika pacienta po operaci hernie disku v bederní páteři.The essay summaries knowledge in intervertebral disc involment. It describes anatomy and function of spine and next the important information on the diagnosis. There is especially described a surgical treatment in the therapy, which focuses on the latest knowledge in this field. A special part of this work includes a physiotherapy after the surgery of disc herniation, it compares techniques in our country and abroad. The final part of the work presents a case report of the patient after the surgery of lumbar disc herniation.
