Tématem této práce je korupce jako fenomén současnosti, který se vyskytuje a ovlivňuje nejen Českou republiku, Evropské společenství, ale celý svět. Korupce patří k závažným světovým problémům současnosti. I když různou měrou a rozlišnými druhy korupčního jednání. Korupce jako taková je jen stěží definovatelná jednou obecnou definicí, proto tématem této práce je rozbor vícero definic a snaha konkretizovat aspoň obecné znaky pro všechny druhy korupce. Je otázkou, že i dnešní době, kdy medializace jednotlivých případů je značná a proniká k nám ze všech stran, a že i přes veřejné odsouzení korupce žije dál bez sebemenší známky ohrožení svého postavení a náznaku jakéhokoli vymýcení. Společnost je "tělo", v němž se korupce rodí, roste a sklízí plody, jinými slovy korupce je "nemoc společnosti". Tato skutečnost je ovlivněna mj. charakterem dnešní doby, který je čím dál rychlejší a korumpovat je vlastněji rychleji se dostávat k vytouženému cíli a deformovaným žebříčkem hodnot. Korupce tedy, ať už vidí každý jak chce, patří ke globálním problémům současnosti, je nedílnou součástí dnešního života. Vzhledem k tomu, že Česká republika je členem ES, a že v současné době řada trestných činech nejen korupčního charakteru prorůstá i přes hranice jednoho státu, je otázkou tohoto tématu také podrobnější popis jednotlivých organizací, které se v rámci ES zabývají touto problematikou a jejich vzájemná spolupráce s členy ES. Těmito organizacemi jsou UNCLAF (Unité de Coordination de la Lutte Anti-Fraude), OLAF (European Anti- Fraude office), AFCOS (Anti - Trajd Coordination Servises Orerational Activities), SPAI (Stability Pact Anti-Corruption Initiative), EUROPOL, EUROJUST (European Judicia Cooperation Unit).The theme of this diploma thesis is the corruption as the present phenomenon that occurs and affects not only the Czech Republic, the European Community, but the whole world. The corruption is a part of serious global problems nowadays. Although in a different quantity and in a various of corruption types. Corruption itself is hardly definable by one general definition, so the theme of this thesis is to analyze more definitions and attempt to specify at least the general features for all types of corruption. It is a question that even today, when media coverage of individual cases is substantial and penetrates to us from all sides, and despite the public condemnation of corruption goes on without any sign of threat to its status and any hint of disappearing. The society is a "body" in which corruption is being born, growing and reaping results, in other words - corruption is a "disease of society '. This fact is influenced by, i.a., hurriedness of today and deformed scale of values. Due to corrupting we can easily and quickly get to the longed-for aim, to buy more and more new things, properties and increase our standard of living. Corruption, however we see it, belongs to the global problems of today and is an integral part of our life. Whereas the Czech Republic is a member of the EC, the number of crimes not only corruption goes far over the borders. This thesis also covers the more detailed description of various organizations which in the EC dealing with this issue and their cooperation with members of the EC.
