Tato práce zkoumá poezii Michala Jareše a její inspirační zdroje. Týká se jeho dvou posledních sbírek, a to sbírky Brzo je k lásce, pozdě k řečem a Kdo dnům rozumí. Prostor, čas, klíčové motivy i formy jsou zkoumány na základě vztahů a souvislostí s poezií Dálného východu, ale také v návaznosti na české kulturní prostředí. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována i pauze a mlčení jakožto významnému a klíčovému prvku Jarešovy poezie.Old Far East poetry is popular and well known in Czech culture and so it?s not surprising that Michal Jareš's poetry draws inspiration from this form. His poetry is often equated with poetry from Far East. To better understand Jareš's poetry, key themes of his poetry will be examined based on motives and themes commonly used in Far East poetry. Particular attention will be devoted to nature, landscape and its function in old Japanese, Chinese and Korean poetry, as well as how eastern poetry reflects different parts of the day and seasons of the year. This includes how Far East symbols and principles, through poetry, bring a sense of time passing as well as seasons changing. Jareš, in his poetry, frequently uses silence and stillness, also known as the principle of "unsaid" Focus will be placed on how silence is expressed in Jareš's poetry and later, how silence helps to express what cannot be put in words and yet still be interpreted after being read. This thesis aims to discover the particular elements and principles that reflect Michal Jareš's inspiration from Far East poetry. It also helps to understand how important the role of silence is in poetry itself and how it allows us understand Jareš's poetry even better.
