Tato Diplomová práce se zabývá distinkcí kultury viny a kultury hanby a analyzuje současnou debatu tohoto problému. Výše zmíněné rozlišení zavedla Ruth Benedictová ve své knize Chrysantéma a meč. Záměrem je chronologicky popsat diskuzi spojenou s touto knihou od jejího vydání až po současnost.The thesis deals with a distinction of the guilt culture and the shame culture and analyses the contemporary debate about this issue. The above mentioned diference is coined by Ruth Benedict in her book The Chrysanthemum and The Sword. The aim is to depict chronologically the discussion related to this pioneer-work from its publishing till nowadays.
