Předmětem bádání této práce je tradice a současnost českého šansonu. Jeho vývoj je podrobně sledován od devatenáctého století, následně je hodnocena jeho současná situace a zanalyzováno několik vybraných šansonů. Velký prostor je věnován stavu reflexí o české i světové šansonové scéně i šansonu obecně, dále pak vymezení termínu ?šanson? a jeho charakteristice. Stručně je nastíněn vývoj šansonu ve světě.The subject of investigation of this thesis is tradition and the contemporary situation of Czech Chanson. Its development is explored from the nineteenth century; subsequently its contemporary situation is evaluated. There is also analyzed several chosen chansons. A large space in the thesis is devoted to describe a status of reflections of Czech and non-Czech chanson as well as the chanson in general. A large space is also devoted to define the term ?chanson? and to characterize its features. There is outlined in brief the development of the chanson abroad.
