Cílem této práce je vytvořit seznam ekonomických a politických integrací ve střední Americe a Karibiku. První část práce je zaměřena na sestavení přehledu o každé integraci. Tento přehled obnáší: historický vývoj, cíle činnosti, organizační strukturu, členské státy a rozvojové programy integrací. Práce popisuje deset integračních seskupení. Jsou zde popsány integrace ze Střední Ameriky, Karibiku a jedna integrace celoamerická, a to Organizace amerických států. V další části je porovnáno rozvojové zaměření organizací. Problémy, na které se organizace zaměřují často trápí celý region, jako např. HIV/AIDS karibskou část. Karibské ostrovy také intenzivně spolupracují na posílení jejich postavení na mezinárodní scéně. Státy střední Ameriky se potýkají s politickými neshodami a proto je častým tématem jejich práce posilování demokracie a udržování míru. Integrační seskupení regionu často spolupracují mezi sebou navzájem nebo s dalšími aktéry mezinárodní politiky a ekonomiky jako jsou např. Světová banka, Evropská unie nebo i jednotlivé samostatné státy.This bachelor work deals with the political and economical integrations of the countries of the Central American region. Although this region is not (in a global point of view) that important, it lies in a strategic space between two more important regions. Central America (and the Caribbean) mainly consists of a number of small countries, so, obviously, their aim is to be able to compete in a world of globalization, which can be achieved by integration. Integration in greater units that would ensure a greater importance of each member state. For the purpose of this work there were chosen 10 main integrations. As for each, there is mentioned its brief historical background, main reasons of its existence, goals and an evaluation of its impact on the development of the region. The states of the Central America fumble with political disagreements, so a common topic of the organisations' work is democracy streghtening and peacekeeping.
