Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá přistoupením nových spolkových zemí k Evropskému společenství v roce 1990. Na příklad Německé demokratické republiky a intergace do Evropské autor aplikuje liberální mezivládní přístup. Příklad integrace Německé demokratické republiky do ES autor vysvětluje za pomoci mezivládního liberálního přístupu. Přijetí NDR do ES není považováno za rozšíření v pravém slova smyslu, jelikož neprobíhalo na základě běžných ostupů a NDR nebyla nucena splnit přístupová kriteria. Zvláštní způsob přistpupení byl výsledkem procesu německého znovusjednocení, které proběhlo s překvapivou rychlostí. Autor analyzuje oba procesy odděleně a zkoumá hlavní příčiny událostí. Mezi zkoumanými důvody je vůle německého lidu, tlak ostatnáích členských států (zejména Velké Británie a Francie), tzv. window of opportunity a předešlá integrace Spolkové republiky Německo do evropských struktur. Autor vysvětluje, že oba tyto procesy byly velmi důležité pro hlubší evropskopu integraci, která následovala.This bachelor thesis focuses on the accession of the new ?Bundesländer? to the European Community in 1990. On the case of former German Democratic Republic the author illustrates the convenience of application of the liberal intergovernmentalism on European Community/European Union enlargement and the process of integration. The GDR becoming a member of EC is not considered as enlargement in the common sense, because it didn't follow usual rules and former GDR wasn't obligated to fulfill the criteria. Choosing a different way of accession was the result of the process of German reunion which was surprisingly quick. The author analysis each of the processes separately and studies the main causes of it. Among the considered causes are the will of the German people, the pressure of other member states (mainly Great Britain and France), the ?window of opportunity? and the former integration of western Germany in European structures. Author points out, that both this processes were really important for deeper European integration which followed.
