Práce se zabývá konžskými občanskými válkami a jejich následném vývoji. Spojením konfliktu a nerostných surovin a dopadem konfliktu na obyvatele. Jedná se komplexní pohled na tuto problematiku. The thesis is concerned with wars and their following evolution in Democratic Republic of Congo. It deals with the bloodiest conflict that is happening without public and media interest since the end of the World War II. Oficially, the conflict ended in 2002, nevertheless, in the East and in the Northeast of the country there are still fights between rebels and government. The reason is that the country is very rich in raw materials in this region. Both, rebels unoficially supported by Rwanda and congolese army, are occupating deposits of nature resources such as gold, copper, cobalt, diamonds and coltan.. Population already exhausted by the war is involved to a conflict on account of cheap labour, sexual slaves and children soldiers. The aim of all armed groups is to extend the conflict to mine as much raw materials as it?s possible. The large multinational corporations are buying these raw materials and profiting from their poor security situation. In a word, they exploit them. The purpose of that thesis is to point out a connection among history, contemporary conflict, raw materials and impact on inhabitants.
