Diplomová práce se zabývá výkonem trestu odnětí svobody v ČR, jeho výchovnou funkcí a specifiky v případě odsouzených žen. V teoretické části je pojednáno o vězeňství a věznicích pro výkon trestu odsouzených žen. Práce se zabývá problematikou diferencovaného přístupu k odsouzeným a programy zacházení jako hlavních prostředků edukace ve věznicích. V praktické části je provedeno šetření za použití metod kvantitativního výzkumu mezi ženami ve věznici v Opavě, jehož cílem je zjištění jejich charakteristik, vnímání vztahů ve věznici a názoru na programy zacházení.This dissertation deals with the execution of a punishment of imprisonment in the Czech Republic, its educative function and specific features in case of convicted women. The theoretical part comprises of prison service and prisons used for the execution of a punishment for women. The thesis engages in the issue of differentiated approach towards the convicted and programmes of treatment as the principal means of education in prisons. The practical part is concerned with the research by means of the employment of methods of quantitative research of women in the prison in the town of Opava whose aim is the determination of their characteristical features, apprehension of relations in the prison and the attitude towards the treatment programmes.
