Diplomová práce se zabývá otázkou čtenářské gramotnosti žáků na 2. stupni základní školy a mezinárodními projekty, které tuto gramotnost zkoumají a posuzují ve vybraných zemích. Obsahuje praktickou část, ve které je nastíněn možný způsob práce s žáky v hodině literární výchovy prostřednictvím díla Kytice. Jde o kreativní výuku, která zahrnuje práci s knihou a filmem, což se jeví jako možnost zvýšení zájmu žáků o čtení a literaturu. To potvrzují výsledky výzkumu, který byl prováděn u žáků osmé a deváté třídy. Vztahem mezi filmovým a literárním médiem se zabývá samostatná kapitola.This thesis deals with the problem of reading skills of the pupils attending the second grade of elementary schools. The theoretical part covers some of the international research which deal with this issue and their results assessed in the chosen countries. The practical part is based on the teaching approach using one of the most significant work in Czech literature: Kytice written by Karel Jaromír Erben. This creative teaching method covers the reading of the book itself and the work with its adaptation, the successful Czech film called Kytice. This modern approach leads to increased interest of pupils in reading and Czech literature as a school subject. This is also confirmed by the survey which was carried out in the 8 -9- year classes in one of the elementary schools in Kyjov.
