Tématem práce je srovnání dvou typů uměleckých narativů ? literaturního a filmového ? na příkladu románu Dáma v jezeře (autor Raymond Chandler) a jeho filmového zpracování (režie Robert Montgomery). Snímek Lady in the Lake představuje v historii kinematografie zajímavý úkaz. Jako jediný realizovaný film je po většinu času snímán subjektivní kamerou z pozice hlavního hrdiny ? detektiva Phillipa Marlowa. Na základě exkurzu napříč základy narativních strategií a jejich následné aplikace na předlohu a adaptaci se snaží práce zodpovědět otázku, proč zůstal snímek ve svém pokusu o variaci literární ich-formy osamocený.Theme of my thesis is comparation two art narratives - literature and film - using novel Lady in the Lake (writer Raymond Chandler) and its adaptation (director Robert Montgomery) as the example. Movie Lady in the Lake presents interesting feature of the film history - most time of the footage is shot by subjective camera from the POV of the main character - detective Phillip Marlowe. Cross-sectioning through the basics of narrative strategies and their following application on the model and its adaptation, this work tries to find an answer for the question why this movie was left alone trying to variate literar first-person narration.
