Práce je zaměřena na překlad odborného medicínského textu z angličtiny do češtiny a jeho následný rozbor. Práce začíná úvodem do teorie odborného stylu, přiblížením typických prvků tohoto stylu a srovnáním rozdílů mezi angličtinou a češtinou. Dále, na základě prvků přítomných v textu, následuje popis kohezivních prostředků, prostředků kondenzovaného vyjadřování a také rozbor terminologie.My thesis focuses on the English to Czech translation of a medical text and its analysis. The work starts with the introduction into the theory of the scientific style. Further on I´m trying to define its typical features and describe the differences between the Czech and English languages. The analysis of the cohesive ties, means of condensed way of expressing and medical terminology follow.
