Táto bakalárska práca sa zaoberá porovnaním románov od spisovateľov Sóseki Nacumeho a Ógaia Moriho. Vyberané sú diela zobrazujúce tematiku jednotlivca v japonskej spoločnosti počas jej modernizácie. Stručne opisuje údaje o prebiehajúcich historických zmenách, ako i o reakciách spoločnosti. Ďalej udáva základnú charakteristiku autorov a ich literárnej tvorby. Hlavnou časťou práce je opis výberu jednotlivých postáv a demonštrácia prvkov westernizácie, ktorá sa v ich charakteroch objavuje. Postavy sú neustále dávané do kontrastu, podľa toho či sa jedná o predstaviteľov tradičnej spoločnosti, alebo či sú jedincami ovplyvnenými modernizáciou. Počas celého pozorovania protagonistov sú udané i odlišnosti v spôsobe akým sa autori realizovali, tieto odlišnosti boli zistené na základe prečítanej literatúry.This bachelor´s thesis is concerned with comparing the novels of the writers Soseki Natsume and Ogai Mori. The works selected are depicting the theme of an individual in the Japanese society during its modernization. It briefly describes some information about the historical changes, as the reactions of the society. It further states some basic characteristic about the authors and their literary work. The main part of the thesis is the description of several characters and the demonstration of the elements of westernization, which is depict in them. The characters are constantly contrasted according to the fact, if they belong to the representatives of the traditional society, or if they are individuals influence by the modernization. During the whole process of observation, there are also stated differences in the manner of the authors to express themselves, with were found out on the basis of the read literature.
