Tato magisterská práce se zabývá problematikou ekologického zemědělství a biopotravin s aplikací v českém a francouzském prostředí. Práce se snaží přiblížit tento moderní způsob zemědělství a z něho vyplývající způsob stravování respektující životní prostředí a jejich situaci v České republice a ve Francii. Cílem předkládané diplomové práce je porovnat situaci v obou zemích a pokusit se vysvětlit hlavní příčiny rozdílů v jednotlivých oblastech ? rozvoji zemědělství, nabídky a poptávky po biopotravinách a postoji spotřebitelů vůči těmto produktům. Práce nejprve zkoumá principy a fungování ekologického zemědělství včetně jeho historického vývoje, dále se věnuje vymezení pojmu biopotravin, zabývá se charakteristikou jejich produkce, jež je přísně vymezena zákonnými předpisy a rovněž zkoumá kvalitu a vlastnosti biopotravin ve srovnání s potravinami z konvenčního zemědělství. Poslední část práce analyzuje trh s biopotravinami na světové a evropské úrovni, popisuje situaci trhů s biopotravinami v České republice a ve Francii a snaží se nastínit jejich budoucí vývoj.This Master thesis deals with the question of organic farming and organic food with its application in the Czech and the French environment. The present work tries to present this modern agricultural model, the way of consumption resulting of this agricultural system that respects the environment. The objective of the thesis is to compare the situations of organic agriculture and organic market in the Czech Republic and in France and to explain the most important causes of differences in the particular fields - the level of development of organic agriculture, supply and demand for organic food as well as perceptions of consumers to these products. The first part of the thesis presents the principles and describes the organization of organic farming, including its historical background. The second part focuses on organic food, giving its definition and presenting their production, which is strictly defined by laws. This part deals as well with quality and the specific characteristics of organic food in comparison with food coming from conventional agricultural production. The final part analyses the organic market in the world and European context, decribes the situation of the organic markets in the Czech Republic and in France and tries to estimate their further development.
