Na základě podkladů, které pocházejí převážně ze zahraniční literatury, byla celkově zpracována oblast tenisu a jeho aspektů. Práce mapuje jak rekreační, tak závodní tenis z několika různých pohledů. Teoreticky byl popsán vývoj tenisu, jeho role v současné společnosti. Dále byly charakterizovány zdravotní, finanční, pohybové, vzdělávací a motivační aspekty rekreačního i závodního tenisu. Bylo provedeno empirické šetření u rekreačních hráčů tenisu. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 63 rekreačních tenistů bydlištěm v okrese Olomouc. Výsledků bylo dosaženo prostřednictvím metody dotazování. Práce by měla sloužit jako mapování zvolené oblasti pro další výzkum.The main purpose of this study is to provide basic overview of the tennis field and its aspects based mainly on the foreign literature sources. The study surveys the competitive and recreational tennis field from different points of view. The theoretical part describes the evolution of tennis sport, its role in contemporary society. Also were characterized by financial, health, educational, movement and motivation aspects competitive and recreational tennis. An empirical research was done within the recreational tennis players. The aim of this study is to map the field of tennis for the further research.
