Ve své práci jsem měla za úkol zjistit, zdokumentovat a popsat gnómonické a geografické charakteristiky a současný stav slunečních hodin na pevných stanovištích v okrese Jičín. Po vymezení metodiky mé práce a rešerši dostupné literatury jsem popsala teoretická východiska práce, a to historií slunečních hodin, jejich typy a podrobněji jednotlivé části hodin jako jsou ukazatel a číselník. Hlavní část práce obsahuje inventarizaci a souhrnné hodnocení slunečních hodin v okrese Jičín. Celkem jsem ověřila 37 slunečních hodin z katalogu, 3 hodiny byly bohuţel jiţ zaniklé a nově jsem objevila a vyhodnotila 3 sluneční hodiny. Souhrnné hodnocení jsem zpracovala do grafů, tabulek a mapy. Aktualizovaná data z terénního šetření poslouţila k aktualizaci záznamů v katalogu slunečních hodin Hvězdárny a planetária v Hradci Králové.The aim of my thesis was to find out, document and describe the gnomonic and geographic characteristics and current condition of fixed sundials in the district of Jičín. After defining the methodology and searching the available literature I described the theoretical basis of the work, i.e. the history of sundials, types of them and individual parts of the sundial as the dial and the indicator. The main part contains the inventory and summary evaluation of sundials in the district of Jičín. Overall, I checked 37 sundials from the catalogue. Unfortunately, three of them don?t exist any longer. I newly found and evaluated three sundials. I processed the summary evaluation into charts, tablets and a map. The obtained data helped to update the records of the Observatory and planetarium Hradec Králové catalogue of sundials.
