Cílem této práce je překlad a analýza odborného textu, konkrétně textu ekonomického. Překládaný text se týkal ekonomie vyššího vzdělávání. Na začátku analýzy se text zařadil do funkčního stylu (tento text spadá do stylu vědy a techniky a zároveň do stylu publicistického), poté jsou zmíněny rozdíly mezi angličtinou a češtinou. Dále je rozebírána morfologie, syntax a především lexikum textu. Zmíněny jsou také použité překladatelské postupy.The aim of this bachelor thesis is translation and analysis of technical text, specifically economic text. The translated text was about economics of higher education. At the beginning of the analysis the text is classified from the functional style viewpoint (the text belongs to scientific style and publicistic as well), then the differences between English and Czech are mentioned. Further morphology, syntax and primarily lexis of the text are discussed. Translation methods used are also mentioned.
