První fotbalové kroužky na Ústeckoorlicku vznikly v roce 1903. Nejstaršími kluby byly SK Vysoké Mýto a SK Choceň. Rozvoj fotbalu byl přerušen 1. světovou válkou. V roce 1918 byla založena Východočeská župa fotbalová. Tato župa se v roce 1928 rozpadla a vznikla Jihovýchodočeská župa fotbalová. Její činnost trvala do roku 1948. V tomto roce byly fotbalové kluby sjednoceny do České obce sokolské. Od roku 1951 se hrají okresní mistrovské soutěže. V roce 1957 vznikl Československý svaz tělesné výchovy, který řídil mistrovské soutěže až do roku 1991. Od tohoto roku se hrály soutěže Východočeské oblasti. Toto uspořádání bylo nahrazeno v roce 2002 soutěžemi Pardubické oblasti.First footbal teams in the region of Ústí nad Orlicí came to existence in the year 1903. The oldest were SK Vysoké Mýto and SK Choceň. The development of football was interupteb by World War the first. In 1918 there was founded East-bohemian football district. This district fell apart in 1928 and Southeast-bohemian footbal district came to existence. It worked until 1948. That year football teams were united under the Czech Sokol community. Since 1951 provincial championships have been played. In 1957 the Czech union of physical education was founded. This union directed the championships until 1991. From 1991 the championships were played under the East bohemia district. In 2002 they were replaced by competitions of Pardubice district.
