Práce též pojednává o symbolice barev a estetické výchově, vkusu a nevkusu v životě člověka. The theoretical part of this thesis summarizes findings on the history of cognition and the physical nature of colors, their effects on humans, and division of colors in terms of color typology. This work olso discusses the symbolism of colors and aesthetics and the concept of good and bad taste. In the closing part the term 'colorika' is proposed as a designation for non-verbal communication through color. The empirical part contains a description and evaluation of research on color preference and selection of color palettes for each age group and sex, based on a survey of four hundred respondents.
