This bachelor thesis provides a comprehensive overview of olecranon fractures, contemporary postoperative treatment and subsequent rehabilitation, which deserves considerable attention. These fractures are often operated using inernal fixation in order to enable the patient to move actively from the first day as prevention of resulting joint stiffness and pain and also because movement of the upper limb is necessary for manipulation and work with objects. Therefore, apart from rehabilitation, the importance of ergotherapy is emphasised, focussing not only on musce power and movement extent, but also functional fitness of the patient suffering specific issues.
