Práce podává přehled vývoje české nederlandistiky v Praze, a dále pak nederlandistiky v Bratislavě do roku 1959. První část se zaměřuje na dějiny nederlandistiky na Karlově univerzitě v Praze, další část tvoří medailonky významných nederlandistů a osob, které v současné době působí (nebo v nedávné době působily) na pražské nederlandistice. Poslední krátká část se zabývá počátky nederlandistiky v Bratislavě.The thesis gives an overview of the development of the Czech Netherlandistics in Prague and further of the Slovak Netherlandistics in Bratislava until 1959. The first part concentrates on the history of Netherlandistics at Charles University in Prague, the second part is dedicated to brief characteristics of important Netherlandists and persons, who currently teach (or taught not a long time ago) at the development of Netherlandistics in Prague. The last, short part deals with the beginnings of Netherlandistics in Bratislava.
