Tato práce se zabývá komunikací v díle Thomase Pychona Dražba série 49. Na začátek práce je zařazen teoretický podklad co se týče vymezení obsahu slova ?postmodernismus?. Dále jsou rozebírány různé komunikační kanály a jejich vliv na kvalitu přenesených informací. Práce je zakončena kapitolou o selhání komunikace v tomto díle a v postmoderně.This work deals with the analysis of communication in Thomas Pynchon?s The Crying of Lot 49. The work starts with an introduction to postmodernism in historical, cultural and philosophical context. The identification of the communication channels in this novel and their analysis, which follows, bears the main focus of this thesis. This is followed by a chapter dealing with the failure of communication and communication distorion in this novel and in postmodernism in general.
