Fragmentace stanoviště ovlivňuje biodiverzitu prostřednictvím ztráty původního stanoviště, zmenšování fragmentů, zvyšování izolace, změn heterogenity stanoviště a vziku nového stanoviště. The habitat fragmentation affects biodiversity through loss of the original habitat, decreasing habitat patch size, increasing isolation, changes in the habitat heterogeneity and the origin of the new habitat. It results in negative but also positive responses of plants and animals. I investigated the epigeic spider community in human fragmented landscape of the Bohemian Karst Protected Landscape Area in relation to the habitat connectivity and the vegetation type. Spiders were sampled with pitfall traps in five woodland fragments within 3 months (6.3.?28.5. 2008). 78 spider species were determined. Pardosa lugubris (Lycosidae) was the most frequent specie in all fragments. The vegetation type influenced abundance significantly and the species diversity nonsignificantly. The highest abundance was in xerothermic oak woods. The highest species diversity was in thermophilous oak woods. With the increasing connectivity the species diversity increased nonsignificantly. The results of the evaluation are preliminary and make base for the next research.
