Táto bakalárska práca sa bude zaoberať zobrazením témy homosexuality v japonskej literatúre; rozdielmi v spracovaní, ktoré vznikli či už pod vplyvom postupného historického vývoja Japonska, alebo ovplyvnením japonskej kultúry a myslenia zahraničnou kultúrou. Bude zahŕňať i prehľad terminológie, ktorá sa používa alebo používala v minulosti na označenie homosexuality a s ňou súvisiacich termínov. Práca bude obsahovať postupnú historickú premenu japonskej spoločnosti a jej postoja voči homosexualite; prierez dielami klasickej i modernej japonskej literárnej tvorby so zameraním na tvorbu Mišimu Jukia a jeho dve diela Spoveď masky a Zakázané farby. Ďalej sa bude venovať Mišimovmu jedinečnému štýlu vyjadrenia vzťahu medzi spoločnosťou a homosexuálne orientovanými postavami jeho diel. V záverečnej časti budú zmienené aj základné rozdiely medzi vybranými dielami literatúry japonskej a západnej.The main concern of this bachelor thesis is to cover the portrayal of homosexuality throughout the Japanese literature. The unique features of the portrayal, which stand in opposite to the Western style, were created mainly under the influence of isolation of the Japanese islands from the main cultural influence of Bible, Christianity and main literary movements. On the other hand, though the modern Japanese literature still has its unusual character, it is much more influenced by the foreign literature. The first chapter of the thesis is a brief summary of the main terminology used in connection with the same-sex love. The main emphasis is placed upon the historical development of the Japanese society and its view and attitude towards homosexuality in general, and its appearance in literature. The final part of the thesis focuses on the work and life of Mishima Yukio, who was a significant figure in modern Japanese literature. He used homosexuality as a theme in his works like Confessions of a Mask and Forbidden colors in a striking way. The last chapter is devoted to the main differences between the Japanese literature and the Western literature.
