The goal of this thesis is to analyse postural behaviour of patients with diabetes mellitus. The regulation of postural stability is complicated. In diabetic patiens the multisensory control is more composite because of the affection of several sensors at once (sight, proprioception, exteroception). There is presented knowledge about late complications of diabetes mellitus in connection with modification of postural stabilisation in the theoretic section. The target of the experimental part is to analyse the behaviour of the group (10 patients with diabetes mellitus and 10 healthy individuals) during the reaction to different external stimuli using posturography (Motor Control Test, Adaptation Test) and sEMG. And we are concentrating on differences in muscle responses to these stimuli.
