Cílem této práce je zjistit, nakolik zahraniční studenti od mírně pokročilé úrovně rozumí prostředkům obecné češtiny a nakolik tuto situaci reflektují učebnice češtiny pro cizince. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části: Úvodní, teoretická část se zabývá sociolingvistikou, územním rozvrstvením obecné češtiny, Společným evropským referenčním rámcem a způsobem koncipování učebnic češtiny pro cizince. Praktická část se zaměřuje na základní prvky obecné češtiny v rovině slovní zásoby, tvarosloví a hláskosloví. K získání výsledků je mimo jiné užita metoda excerpce příslušného praktického materiálu, získaný jazykový materiál je poté popsán a vyhodnocen v jednoduchých grafech. Závěrečná zjištění shrnují poznatky o znalosti prostředků obecné češtiny u zahraničních studentů.The aim of this thesis is to find out how much the foreign students from the pre-intermediate level up to higher levels understand the common Czech and how much the textbooks of Czech language reflex that situation. The thesis is split into two parts: introductory theoretical part is dealing with social linguistics, regional stratification of Common Czech, Common European referential level and a way of making textbooks of Czech language for foreigners. The practical part targets the basic elements of common Czech in a level of lexicology, morphology and phonetics. Results were captured inter alia by using a method of excerption the relevant practical material, acquired language material is after that described and evaluated in simple graphs. The final results summarize the observation about foreign students' knowledge the ways of the Common Czech.
