Práce postihuje obraz ženské hrdinky ve filmech Ernsta Lubitsche 30. let na pozadí celé Lubitschovy tvorby a kinematografie 30. let. Jádro práce se soustředí na analýzu ženských postav ve filmech Láska mezi umělci, Anděl a Ninočka. Pozornost je soustředěna na zachycení hrdinčina vztahu k mužům, rodině a celé společnosti, na společné znaky i rozdíly Lubitschových hrdinek i jejich odlišnost od ženských postav jiných režisérů tohoto období, a konečně i komparaci s tradičním obrazem ženy v období klasického Hollywoodu.The thesis depicts the image of a heroine in Ernst Lubitsch?s films of the 1930s against the background of the whole Lubitsch?s work and cinematography of the 1930s. It focuses on the analysis of female characters in the films Design for Living, Angel and Ninotchka. The attention is paid to the depiction of the heroine?s relationship to men, family and the whole society, to the similarities and differences of the Lubitsch?s heroines as well as to their distinction from female characters of other directors of this period. Finally there is a comparison with the traditional image of a woman in the period of classical Hollywood cinema.
