Cílem této práce je poskytnout čtenáři celkový pohled do problematiky imigrace ve Francii. Práce sleduje jednotlivá historická období od 19. století, až po současnost. Vysvětluje důvody příchodu imigrantů do země, jejich roli ve společnosti a jejich integraci. Část práce zabývající se současnou imigrací se zaměřuje především na sociální problémy, nejčastěji politicky diskutovaná témata a na podmínky vstupu, pobytu a na pracovní podmínky imigrantů ve Francii. Práce rovněž zkoumá vliv imigrace na francouzskou ekonomii. Jedna kapitola je věnována vývoji francouzské imigrační politiky. Práce je doplněna malým průzkumem provedeným mezi imigranty žijícími ve Francii.The main aim of the thesis is to provide the readers with the overview of the problem of immigration in France. It monitors the important historical periods from the 19th century up today. It explains the reasons of immigrants ?coming in the country, their rank in society and their integration. The part of thesis concerning the contemporary immigration focus on social problems, the most politically discussed items and the conditions of entry, standing and working conditions. The thesis studies also the impact of immigration on French economy. One chapter describes evolution of the politics of immigration. The thesis is completed by small research among immigrants living in France.
