Práca sa zameriava na súčasnú civilizačnú transformáciu súvisiacu s prechodom na informačnú spoločnosť. Pojednáva o teoretických východiskách informačnej revolúcie, základných princípoch tejto zmeny a o jej dôsledkoch na jednotlivé regióny sveta. Popisuje podobu globálneho informačného sveta v súvislosti s narastajúcou vzájomnou závislosťou v ekonomických, informačných a politických vzťahoch. Skúmaný je súčasný stav tohto procesu a následne sú analyzované niektoré cesty adaptácie na realitu informačného veku dvadsiateho prvého storočia s dôrazom na potreby rozvojových krajín.The bachelor thesis is focused on the transformation of the civilization concerned with the current transition to the information society. It deals with the theoretical base of the information revolution, basic principles of the process and with its impact on the individual world's regions. It describes the shape of the global information world in respect of the increasing interdependency in the economical, informational and political relationships. Study research present stage of the transition and analyses some ways of the adaptation to the reality of the twenty first century information age with the emphasis to the needs of the developing countries.
