Tato bakalářská práce popisuje propagandistické působení olomouckého listu Stráže lidu v druhé polovině šedesátých let dvacátého století. Pomocí dostupných archivních pramenů, excerpce literatury a výzkumu formou orální historie je zpracováno téma dosud dosti zanedbávané v měřítku Olomouckého kraje. V prvních kapitolách se věnujeme definici termínu propaganda z pohledu tehdejšího režimu, charakterizujeme způsob řeči, jakým režim promlouval k veřejnosti skrze sdělovací prostředky, které využíval jako nástroj k prosazování svých politických cílů, a také popisujeme vývoj systému cenzurních zásahů od nástupu komunistů k moci v roce 1948. V další části práce vycházíme z historických událostí předcházejících vpádu okupačních vojsk a nástupu normalizační politiky, přičemž sledujeme dopad těchto událostí na olomoucký region. Poté už soustředíme svoji pozornost na popis fungování redakce olomoucké Stráže lidu a způsoby řízení tohoto periodika ze strany různých politických orgánů, zejména pak OV KSČ v Olomouci jako vydavatele těchto novin.This thesis describes the effect of propaganda on the Olomouc newspaper called Stráž lidu in the second half of the 1960ies. With the help of available archive sources, excerption of literature and by research in the form of oral history a topic, which had been neglected within the Olomouc region, is elaborated. In the first chapters we deal with definition of the term propaganda from the point of view of then regime, we characterize parlance the regime used to speak to public through media which it used as an instrument to push through their political aims and we also describe development of the system of censorship from the first access of communists to power in 1948. In the next part of the thesis we result from the historical events that preceded the invasion of army of occupation and the beginning of normalization politics and we observe the impact of these events on the Olomouc region. Then we focus our attention to description of functioning of the editor's office in Stráž lidu and the ways of managing of this newspaper from the part of separated political authorities, mainly OV KSČ in Olomouc as a publisher of this newspaper.
