Popisuje klasifikaci mentální retardace, zvláštnosti jedince s tímto handicapem a odchylky v psychickém vývoji. Věnuje se systému bazální stimulace, jednotlivým oblastem podpory, cílům, teoretickým základům bazální stimulace a významu doteků v životě člověka. Práce obsahuje popis muzikoterapeutické a zooterapeutické metody, jejich formy, rozdělení, cíle a danou metodu při práci s osobami s mentálním postižením a kazuistiku z praxe.The final work is focused on the main characteristics and distribution of mental retardation, its causes and diagnosis.
