Cílem této diplomové práce je poukázat na problematiku konfliktů ve světě a zdůraznit existenci různých hledisek chápání konfliktů a jejich řešení, charakterizovat hlavní konfliktní oblasti současného světa, analyzovat vybrané konflikty a upozornit tím na jistou analogii či podobnost zdánlivě odlišných konfliktů ve světě a v neposlední řadě nastínit perspektivy ve vývoji konfliktů a jejich řešení.The aim of this thesis is to point out the concepts of world conflicts and to emphasize the existence of different aspects that contribute to the understanding and resolution of such conflicts. It also strives to identify the prevailing conflict areas in the contemporary world setting, while finding certain analogies and commonalities among seemingly different conflict scenarios. The conclusion aims to outline the long-term perspectives of conflict development and resolution strategies.
