Tato diplomová práce se věnuje tématu dvoukariérového manželství jako fenoménu objevujícím se v dnešní společnosti. Teoretická část je zaměřena na problematiku rodiny, genderu, dále na okolnosti vzniku dvoukariérového manželství, pocitech žen a mužů, jejich život v dvoukariérovém manželství a také na jejich děti. Výzkumná část se pak soustřeďuje na konkrétních 15 rodin žijících daným životním stylem. Prostřednictvím rozhovoru, dotazníku životní spokojenosti a testu manželského přizpůsobení se autorka snaží zjistit, jak tito lidé kombinují svou práci a rodinu a zda jsou spokojeni.This thesis refers to the topic of the dual-career marriage as a phenomenon which is present in today´s society. The theoretical part is focused on family, gender, further on the background of origin of dual-career marriage, on women´s and men´s feelings, on living in dual-career marriage and on their children. The experimental part is investigating 15 families living this lifestyle. Through a semi-structured interview, Well-being questionnaire (DŽS) and Test of marital adjustment, the author tries to find out how these people combine their career and family and if they are satisfied.
